Meet Cherry Finch, Cherry is actually the cat!

He started as a little sketch and quickly became the mascot for my art. Cherry is a chef by trade so you’ll usually find him in a tall hat, flipping pancakes, or holding a frying pan. But like me, he dabbles in all sorts of things. Sometimes he’s cooking, sometimes he’s exploring, and sometimes he’s just hanging out, keeping me company while I paint.

I’m actually Brooke, an artist from Victoria, Australia. I primarily work with oils, but I’m no stranger to dabbling in whatever sparks my interest at the time. I’m not going to lie to you I’ve been making art since I can remember , and honestly, not everything I create is intentionally deep or layered with hidden meaning. Most of the time, I just make things that look cool to me. So I’m feeling like a bit of an imposter.

Right now, food is what inspires me most. I love cooking it, painting it, and most of all eating it. My work celebrates those simple, everyday pleasures and the joy that comes from them.
